Derrick Johnson (born December 7th 1992), better known as "DERK" is an open book and bites his tongue for no one and it shows in his music. DERK is from Virginia, but growing up has visited many places such as New York, Connecticut, Arizona, Illinois, Georgia, North and South Carolina and Florida.  Not only aware of many cultures, he is obsessed with art and fashion and always has the most commendable mixtape covers in his area.  He never takes a break from making music he came out with the mixtape "1 Track Mind" in September of 2011, then "Knights In Daze" in November of 2011. Only 1 month later he came out with the half mf doom half flying lotus produced mixtape called "Flying DOOM" , then in March of 2012 he came out with the sequel to his earlier project "Knights In Daze 2".  The DMV rapper says he doesn't want to change the world he wants to change minds and standards and let the dominoes fall where they may.  No matter what project you listen to you are always walking inside of DERK's mind.
